With the current state of the economy and people losing jobs left and right, people want to know what hot jobs they should be looking for, or maybe even which ones they might want to go back to college to become involved in. A career that won’t be affected by the current state of economy is very desirable. There are some industries that are just plain more durable today and a certain set of skills that will keep you in a job that maybe weren’t always the most desirable. 

The first career that is recession proof is a career in education. Education is something that all people will need. The growth of the education career depends on where you live, but nonetheless is fairly steady. Currently, there are a lot of people reevaluating their career and going back to college so there may even be a boost among college-level or trade school attendance. Another one of the hot jobs of 2009 is a job in the energy field. Energy needs are changing, and the focus of the world is trending towards transformation of the energy field. These jobs remain imperative. The third job that’s hot right now, and possibly the hottest, is in health care; it simply is growing all the time. Currently there are not enough workers in the health care industry to fill all the available positions.

 

International business is a career that is growing as the global business grows into a smaller world. Hot jobs also exist in the environmental departments, as the world continues to work on lowering pollutants and keep global warming from changing our world and its environment completely. Security is one more job that will always be in demand. Crime and criminals don’t take vacation simply because the economy is bad. As you can see, there are many options in a tough economy.  

Hot jobs do exist in our slow economy. The point is we must adapt and be prepared for everything that’s changing. Finding a career you like which is also going to be in demand in the coming years will be important. Certainly, careers in the retail and sales industries are some of the ones suffering the most. However, many people with skills in these areas can find training to move into a new career. There’s hope for anyone who has lost their job or who thinks they might. Just keep looking, keep thinking, and consider these top six jobs in a slow economy.
